Enterprise Software Design

Client 1

Lead Designer for Agility Health, I was responsible for all visual updates for the products redesign. I was one of two designers, the other being responsible for functionality, although I assisted when needed. I also was responsible for the development and management of the pattern library, which would be the start of the future design system. This system would provided a source of truth for others. I worked with in an iterative design process, with group critique. I utilized design principles and best practices to enhance usability and to provide an overall better experience.

Project 1
Project Brief
Update dashboard widgets. Users are having difficulty reading widgets.
Challenge
Widgets are created by third party app so there are many design restrictions.
Solution
Keep it simple and clean, let the data present itself. Use design principles to provide contrast for ease of readability.
Project 2
Project Brief
Update data matrix. Users are having difficulties managing data in an excel format. Design needs to be more user friendly.
Challenge
Rethinking how the growth plan data should be presented. Allowing users to understand at a glance what the data means and what action needs to be taken.
Solution
Incorporate Progressive Disclosure within the design. Progressive disclosure defers advanced features to a secondary screen, making applications easier to learn and less error-prone.
Project 3
Project Brief
Update Radar page. Users are unable to correlate data points, due to separation of data. Filtering system is confusing and users are struggling to understand what is selected.
Challenge
The radar needs to stay the focus of the page, yet data points need to be available for correlation. Filtering needs to be redesigned from the ground up.
Solution
Make use of stackable data and responsiveness. Expose filtering and hinting of selected items. Use floatable elements to conserve page realty.
Client 2

Lead Designer responsible for iManage's leading product, iManage Works, a document management system. Partnered with POs, PMs, QA, and Devs in an Agile environment to oversee and produce the user experience of new features from conception until launch. I presented design solutions, defended design decisions, and incorporated feedback into the design cycle.

Project 1
Project Brief
Product redesign. Users are unable to properly navigate and search. They are foraging but are getting lost.
Challenge
Create a simple solution for a complex problem. Large amount of data to surface and make it consumable.
Solution
Use the design think process to understand the user and the problem and iterate on the solution.
